HISTORY OF THE TOURNAMENT
Always in search of inspiration
The Torrevieja International Cup was organized for the first time in June 2010, after months of preparation between the sports councilor of the city of Torrevieja, Mr. Daniel Plaza, and a small and young structure of the organization itself, led by Alberto del Amo and the support of several hotel directors in the city, among whom Mr. Manuel Jimenez stands out, at that time director of the Hotel Cabo Cervera, now Playas de Torrevieja of the Poseidon Group.

INTERNATIONAL
The tournament began with only the boys' soccer category and a single summer phase, with the aim of effectively recruiting athletes and ensuring the event's success. That first edition was organized with approximately 350 players.
In 2018, a first major milestone was achieved: the tournament acquired an "International" dimension, with the arrival of clubs from many countries across 5 continents and exceeding 1800 athletes for the first time.
